The Beginning
This is where it all begins
Blog Post #1: From Kelvin (the Husband Half of This Duo)
So here we are—blog post number one. And surprise, it’s me, Kelvin, the husband of the husband-wife duo. I know, I know. You probably expected Najila to kick things off with her photogenic smile and charming energy. Instead, you get… me. Sorry to disappoint. But hey, someone has to carry their weight around here. My wife has the smile; I have the words. (And, let’s be honest, a pretty great smile too—you just can’t see it. Imagine it. Beautiful, isn’t it? Yeah, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone you blushed.)
Anyway, the reason we’re here—the reason this website, this TikTok, this Pinterest board all exist—is to share the little treasures we keep stumbling across in the wide, weird, wonderful world of gadgets and household goodies. I’m a bit of a geek at heart, so anything that makes life smoother, faster, or even just cooler instantly grabs my attention.
Now, truth be told, this whole adventure started with Najila. She first got into TikTok to share her crochet projects, but then—like Alice down the rabbit hole—she discovered the wonderland that is TikTok Shop affiliates. Suddenly, boxes of gadgets and tools started showing up at our door for her to try out.
“Kelvin, did you benefit from this?” you might ask. Yes. Absolutely.
“Kelvin, did you do any actual work for it?” Well… someone had to walk to the door and grab the packages, didn’t they? I consider that essential labor.
Before long, though, both of us were hooked. Between her love for craft tools and my weakness for clever gadgets, we realized we weren’t just collecting things—we were finding solutions that genuinely made life a little easier (or at least a lot more fun). And as parents of two young kids, believe me, we’re always on the hunt for anything that helps our home run even a smidge more smoothly.
So, here we are—deciding to turn this into a side hobby. We’ll be sharing our favorite finds, honest thoughts on what’s worth it (and what isn’t), and maybe a few laughs along the way.
Thanks for stopping by—we’re genuinely happy to have you here. Pull up a chair, grab a coffee (or, if you’re like me, three), and let’s dive in together.
From our family to yours,
~Kelvin (and Najila, once she forgives me for taking the first post)
